Tour Guides Australia, and its predecessor the Professional Tour Guides Association of Australia, has undertaken professional tour guide accreditation and professional development since 1985. It supports THRIVE 2030, Australia’s national strategy for the long-term sustainable growth of the visitor economy policy priority to grow a secure and resilient workforce.
We are a member-run not for profit association supporting education, professional development, advocacy, and career support.
Tour Guides Australia maintains the required standards, encouraging training, promoting best practice and eliminating unethical guiding practices.
We are committed to assisting Tour Guides in building long term relationships with businesses, as well as with other members of the tourism industry and stakeholder groups.
